oh man… i had almost given up on pop77. i randomly came across your site when p77-43 came out. i downloaded it and it was *great*. for the next several weeks, i was so psyched that i would now have a weekly source of great new tunes. and then, all of a sudden, after mix 45.. there were no more. i checked back over and over and over. nothing. so sad. and now, suddenly, you’re back. thank god.

Damnnnn, this looks sweet. That Gnarls Barkley track is hot. Danger Mouse can do no wrong. I knew i’d see that up here sooner or later. Also, way to lay down the Dr. Octagon. Thanks man.

Another great mix. For some reason the podcast feed has not been updated with this latest entry? A fix maybe? Hooray!

  6. jeope says:

Yeah, mine doesn’t upload too. It just becomes an audio file that plays through the browser. Is this my bad or yours?

Damn, that “Young Bride” track by midlake is friggin’ nice….I’m gonna have to look deep into midlake’s catalog of goods if that joint is any indication of their sound!

Thanks for the intro…..another solid mix!

So good to have you back! I was bumming that I moved to a new computer and some of my files didn’t make the leap…. unfortuantely POP 77 was part of that select few. Does anyone have any old mixes they’d like to trade for? KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!

Got it now; just a technical hiccup I guess. Off to go listen me up some music!

btw: that “24 Robbers” track is the creepiest and coolest thing I have heard in years. Years! My favourite track off the Pop77 series so far.

i am consistently amazed by this mix, by its ability to weave seemingly disparate elements (dr. octagon, yeah yeah yeahs, gnarls barkley, prince) together to create such a natural flow. actually there is one exception: “Just,” which i feel is a little out of its element, but maybe that’s just me. i’ve been listening to this nonstop– it’s great for hanging out, having sex, working on the computer, readin’ books, feelin the summer heat. i hope it stays downloadable forever! thanx.
